poem grey moon by beryl ace

The cool breeze sweeps through my skin;
Clouds rising above my nurtured home;
With a ponder blinking through within;
The warmth of my soul is as soft as foam
 .
Howling Hounds Hurl bellows into the night;
As serene as it seems it begets fear;
Dogs and foxes stumble into the same fright;
We sit like the dumb and deaf yet we clearly hear.
 .
The bearing amplifies till we all retract;
Another strange moon have appeared too soon;
In sooth what scare ole baar

In sooth what scare ole bards are abstract;
We had no vision of these through the noon.
.
Tonight will come and go;
Tomorrow will show our foe!
