Sitting solitary on my cradled bed
And painful tears filling my unbathed eyes
The world I was promised so long was fled
And on my melancholic soul for more to grace.
You've left me a shattered piece
For life and unpleasant souls to tease
And to dim me with a deepened gleam
And with that sweet memory to hunt my night and dream.
Life's treasure bolt to hold me astray?
Leaving so long abreast to stay
And in dreams, I wish not for this night
And shallowed water to make me no fright.
